Riverside Park and Zoo

The Riverside Discovery Center spans 23 acres along the North Platte River, featuring three lakes, camping areas, and more than 125 animals from 50 species.

Two grizzly bear cubs found a new residence at the facility in December 2017 after their mother was killed, leading to their rescue by wildlife officials.

The center maintains multiple educational exhibits, including Slither Inn for reptiles and a Children's Zoo section for encounters with domesticated animals.

Visitors can access the Discovery Center half a mile west of Nebraska Highway 71, where they find a splash pad, hiking trails, and a disc golf course.

The facility includes a rotating children's museum with changing themes and a Dino Dig excavation site where children unearth replica prehistoric bones.
