Lucky Peak State Park

Lucky Peak State Park encompasses three distinct units: Discovery Park for picnicking, Sandy Point for swimming, and Spring Shores Marina for boating activities.

The park emerged in 1956 through an agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers following the completion of Lucky Peak Dam.

The park features regular ranger talks where visitors learn about local wildlife, geological formations, and environmental conservation efforts in Idaho.

Located just 10 miles east of Boise, the park charges entrance fees between $7 and $14 per vehicle and operates from sunrise to sunset.

The park contains the Lucky Peak Dam Zeolite Occurrence, adding geological significance to its 240 acres of recreational space.
