Brigham Young University–Idaho, Private university in Rexburg, US
Brigham Young University-Idaho is a private religious institution in Rexburg, eastern Idaho, run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The campus spreads across a broad area with academic halls, sports facilities, a planetarium and natural history collections.
The school was founded in 1888 as Bannock Stake Academy and became Ricks College in 1923. In 2001 it gained university standing and took its current name.
The university holds weekly devotional services on Tuesdays during academic sessions, where students participate in religious gatherings and educational presentations.
The grounds are accessible during daytime hours, with specific facilities like the planetarium or museums open at set times. Visitors can walk around freely and view the outdoor areas.
The university uses a three-track semester system that allows students to attend at different times throughout the year. This rotation lets the school serve more students than a traditional schedule would allow.
