Avalanche Campground

Avalanche Campground sits on the western side of the Continental Divide in Glacier National Park and contains 50 campsites nestled beneath mature cedar and hemlock trees. The facility offers flush toilets, running water, and accommodates vehicles up to 26 feet in length.

This campground was built to support the growing demand for outdoor recreation when Glacier National Park expanded its visitor infrastructure. Its creation reflected a broader effort to make the park accessible to travelers seeking mountain experiences.
