Close To The Edge Provincial Park and Protected Area

The park encompasses 702 hectares of land within the Dezaiko Range, featuring deep caves and diverse geological formations in the Rocky Mountains.

Located 160 kilometers northeast of Prince George, this protected area was established in 2000 to preserve the Close To The Edge cave system.

Access requires navigating logging roads and using a hand-operated cable car to cross Hedrick Creek, with no designated facilities available for visitors.

The park contains Canada's deepest vertical shaft at 255 meters and houses the third-deepest cave system, extending to 472 meters underground.
