Devon Energy Center, Corporate skyscraper in downtown Oklahoma City, United States
The Devon Energy Center is a 50-story, 844-foot (257 m) corporate skyscraper on Sheridan Avenue in downtown Oklahoma City, between Hudson and Robinson Avenues. Its rectangular plan has a slightly curved profile, and the facade is clad entirely in blue glass panels in a grid pattern, with a continuous vertical stripe of lighter metallic fins down the right side of the front face. The flat-topped tower rises from a wider glazed base, and the complex also includes a six-story rotunda and a six-story podium structure.
The building was constructed between 2009 and 2012, marking a transformation period for Oklahoma City. Upon completion, it became the state's tallest structure and changed the city's visual identity.
The building displays modern corporate design through its angular glass surfaces that sit prominently in the downtown landscape. Its vertical shape defines the city skyline with reflective surfaces that shift in appearance throughout the day.
The tower sits in downtown and is easily accessible from most central areas. A public restaurant operates on the upper floors, allowing visitors to enjoy city views while dining.
The rotunda and podium are separate six-story structures beside the 50-story tower, not interior spaces; together the three parts enclose more than 1,800,000 square feet. The tower was first planned at 54 stories and 925 feet, then cut to 844 feet after the data center was moved to a separate secure facility.
