Valliance Bank Tower, High-rise building in Oklahoma City, United States
Valliance Bank Tower is a 22-story office building along the Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, clad in glass and granite. The building houses office floors and banking space used by regional businesses, and it stands as one of the taller structures in that part of the city.
The building was completed in 1984, at a time when the banking sector in Oklahoma City was under considerable pressure. Over the years it changed names several times, following whichever bank happened to be the main tenant.
The tower sits in the northwestern part of Oklahoma City, an area shaped mostly by commuters and business traffic rather than foot traffic. Entering the building feels like stepping into a working office environment, with a bank branch at street level.
The building sits directly on the Northwest Expressway and is easiest to reach by car, with parking available on site. The main entrance is at ground level and elevators connect directly to the office floors above.
A private elevator inside the building runs directly from the lobby to the 16th floor, apparently installed for a tenant who never moved in. The elevator still operates today and stands as an odd leftover from the building's original planning.
