Honor Heights Park, Botanical garden in Muskogee, United States.
Honor Heights Park is a botanical garden with 132 acres featuring rose gardens, azalea beds, an arboretum, and interconnected ponds with water fountains. The grounds display carefully arranged plant collections organized throughout the landscape.
Muskogee established this garden in 1909 as a public recreational space for the community. The grounds grew to become an important location for botanical and cultural activities.
The Five Civilized Tribes Museum within the park displays artwork and artifacts from Cherokee, Creek, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Seminole Nations. You can see how these communities expressed their heritage through art and objects.
The park has three walking trails, multiple picnic areas, and playgrounds spread throughout the grounds. A seasonal butterfly house operates from spring through fall for visitors to explore.
During winter months, the grounds transform with approximately one million lights illuminating azaleas, trees, and shrubs for a special light display. This seasonal transformation draws many visitors during the colder season.
