Wangchuck Centennial Park, Protected area in northern Bhutan
The national park extends across 4,914 square kilometers through five districts, featuring landscapes from blue pine forests to alpine meadows at elevations of 2,500-5,100 meters.
The park was established on December 12, 2008, to commemorate 100 years of the Wangchuck dynasty that began ruling Bhutan in 1907.
The Nomads Festival gathers highlanders from across Bhutan within the park boundaries to display their traditions through performances and demonstrations.
Visitors can access the park through its main office at Nasiphel, located 22 kilometers from Chamkhar town in the Bumthang District.
The park contains 693 plant species, 250 bird species, and remains the only location in Bhutan where the Tibetan Wolf maintains its presence.
