Makronissos Beach

Makronissos Beach is a sandy shore in Agia Napa stretching roughly 300 meters between two natural bays with clear water that gradually deepens into the Mediterranean. The golden sand slopes gently toward the sea, creating a comfortable entry point for swimmers of all abilities.

An ancient necropolis from the Hellenistic-Roman period lies within the beach area, featuring tombs carved into limestone rocks during the 2nd century BCE. This archaeological site reveals that the region supported human settlement and burial practices more than two thousand years ago.

The beach serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors experience the relaxed pace of life along Cyprus's southern coast. The gentle slope into the water and accessible shoreline make it a natural spot where people spend leisure time together.
