Altos de Nsork National Park

The 700-square-kilometer protected area contains high hills, low terraces, and dense forests crossed by the Abang River along its western border.

The national park received official designation in 2000 as part of Equatorial Guinea's initiative to preserve its natural environments and wildlife populations.

Local Fang communities within the park boundaries maintain their traditional practices while coexisting with the protected forest environment and its inhabitants.

Visitors require advance planning due to limited road access, and local guides provide essential assistance for navigating through the forested terrain.

Forest elephants leave visible trails throughout the park, allowing visitors to track their movements by following paths of disturbed vegetation and droppings.
