Maimun Palace, Royal palace in Medan, Indonesia

The palace extends across 2,772 square meters with two floors containing 30 rooms arranged in three sections: main building, left wing, and right wing.

Construction of the palace started in 1888 under the direction of Sultan Deli, incorporating Malay, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and Indian architectural elements.

The main hall exhibits ceremonial weapons, traditional furniture, and family photographs that document the legacy of the Deli Sultanate through generations.

Located on Brigadier General Katamso Street in central Medan, the palace opens daily except during special ceremonies of the royal family.

A marble slab at the palace entrance features Latin inscriptions, while the exterior walls display a yellow color scheme with ornate decorative patterns.
