Circuit de Monaco, Street racing circuit in Monte Carlo, Monaco

The Circuit de Monaco extends 3.337 kilometers through narrow streets, incorporating 19 turns and significant elevation changes around Monte Carlo's harbor.

The circuit started operations in 1929 when William Grover-Williams secured victory in the inaugural race driving a Bugatti through Monte Carlo's streets.

Formula 1 drivers consider winning at Monaco a career milestone, with local racer Louis Chiron marking history as the first Monégasque victor in 1931.

Construction of the racing infrastructure requires six weeks of preparation and three weeks for dismantling, transforming city streets into a professional circuit.

The circuit includes a tunnel section where cars transition from bright sunlight to darkness and back while maintaining racing speeds above 260 kilometers per hour.
