Le Schuylkill, High-rise residential building in Monte Carlo, Monaco

Le Schuylkill is a 25-story residential tower reaching 78 meters high, with apartments offering views of the Mediterranean Sea and Port Hercule. The building stands in one of Monte Carlo's most sought-after residential neighborhoods.

Le Schuylkill was completed in 1970 as Monaco's first modern skyscraper, designed in the modernist style at 78 metres with twenty-five storeys. It was long owned by heiress Hélène Pastor through her real estate company. In May 2023 the Communal Council approved a €170 million renovation by Zaha Hadid Architects, converting the offices and apartments into 142 all-residential units and replacing the façade, with work planned from March 2024 to 2028.

Le Schuylkill takes its name from the Schuylkill River in Pennsylvania, though the sources give no reason for the choice. Its residents have included Hélène Pastor's daughter Sylvia Pastor, who lived there with the Polish businessman and honorary consul Wojciech Janowski, and Michael Pearson, 4th Viscount Cowdray.

Le Schuylkill stands at 19 Boulevard de Suisse, on a slope dropping 22 metres between its north and south boundaries, so entrances sit at different street levels. The site is in the Saint Michel area, and the building is being converted to 142 all-residential apartments, with work planned from March 2024 to 2028.
