Théâtre Princesse Grace, Performance theater in Monte Carlo, Monaco

Théâtre Princesse Grace is the main theatre of the Principality of Monaco. Construction began in 1930 under the auspices of the Société des Bains de Mer, which commissioned architect François-Joseph Bosio to build a theatre and a cinema; the cinema opened on 4 February 1931 in the presence of Prince Louis II and his wife, and the theatre opened in 1932. Princess Grace designed the interior decoration of the hall dedicated to her on 17 December 1981.

The theater is located near the center of Monte Carlo and is easily reached on foot or by public transport. Most performances run in the evenings, particularly between September and May when the season features the heaviest schedule.

Princess Grace herself designed the interior decoration of the theatre that now bears her name; it was dedicated on 17 December 1981, and in 2011 the royal family marked the venue's 30th anniversary. Its president is her daughter, Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.
