Champions Promenade

Champions Promenade is a waterfront pathway in Monte Carlo featuring bronze footprints and plaques that honor some of the world's greatest football players. The route runs directly along the Mediterranean shore and offers views across the water throughout its length.

The project began in 2008 as recognition for outstanding football players and was designed as a permanent tribute to the sport's greatest talents. Over time, new names have been added continuously to document the evolution of modern football.

The promenade reflects Monaco's connection to international football by displaying permanent tributes selected through combined votes from fans and the Golden Foot Jury.

The pathway is publicly accessible and free to explore, ideal for a leisurely walk along the water. Good walking shoes are recommended since the surface varies between asphalt and stone paving.

Each honored player personally leaves their own footprint and signature in wet cement, making every entry an authentic original. This hands-on method turns each spot into a personal moment from the player's career.
