Ghazanchetsots Cathedral

The white limestone cathedral rises 35 meters high and features three identical entrances with ornate stone carvings on its western, northern, and southern sides.

The construction of this religious edifice began in 1868 and concluded in 1887, followed by an official consecration ceremony on September 20, 1888.

The cathedral served as the central hub for the Artsakh diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and contains numerous religious manuscripts dating from previous centuries.

The structure incorporates architectural elements from traditional Armenian design, including decorative stone reliefs around the doors and windows of the building.

During the Soviet period, the religious structure was converted into a grain storage facility, with its surrounding walls being demolished in the 1950s.
