Marie-Elisabeth Belpaire Building

The Marie-Elisabeth Belpaire Building reaches 102 meters in height and contains 14 floors as part of the World Trade Center complex in Brussels.

The building opened in 1976 and underwent substantial modifications, leading to its current reconstruction status under the architectural guidance of Jaspers-Eyers and 51n4e.

The structure bears the name of Marie-Elisabeth Belpaire, who established Dutch-language schools in Antwerp and advanced educational opportunities for girls in the 19th century.

Upon completion in 2023, the building will accommodate 4,750 Flemish civil servants and integrate offices, coworking spaces, residential units, and retail facilities.

The construction incorporates the first stone made entirely of circular concrete, marking a step forward in sustainable building practices in Belgium.
