Dobrich Province

Dobrich Province is an administrative region in northeastern Bulgaria encompassing eight municipalities across approximately 4,700 square kilometers. It borders Romania and the Black Sea, with landscapes defined by farmland, small towns, and rural settlements.

The region was known as Hacıoğlu Pazarcık in the 16th century and later became Bazargic during Romanian rule. It acquired its current name as Dobrich Province in 1999.

Orthodox churches and Muslim prayer sites are scattered throughout the region, reflecting how Bulgarians, Turks, and Roma communities share daily life here. These places show how different religious traditions coexist in the same landscape.

Schools and universities serve the region alongside road connections between municipalities, making travel relatively straightforward. Extensive wheat and lavender fields shape the landscape and show how agriculture defines daily life here.

A Nature and Animal Protection Centre here houses over 40 animal species living in natural habitat conditions. The facility serves both research and education, showing how wildlife thrives in a setting designed to mimic their natural world.
