Constantine's Bridge, Roman bridge across Danube in Corabia, Romania.

The bridge spanned 2437 meters across the Danube River, connecting the fortress of Sucidava with the town of Oescus in present-day Bulgaria.

Emperor Constantine the Great officially inaugurated this engineering marvel on July 5th, 328, marking a new chapter in Roman infrastructure development.

The Romans minted a gold medallion in Rome depicting Emperor Constantine and the bridge structure to commemorate this architectural achievement.

The bridge measured 5.7 meters in width and rose 10 meters above water level, facilitating the movement of troops and goods between Roman territories.

This structure held the record as the longest ancient river bridge, with 1137 meters crossing directly over the Danube riverbed.
