Kaylaka

Kaylaka Park is a large urban park nestled within a limestone valley, with natural rock formations and the Tuchenitsa River running through it. The grounds include artificial lakes and multiple activity zones for rock climbing, tennis, swimming, and boating.

Development of the park began in 1946 as a project to transform the valley into a public space. Over subsequent decades, the grounds were gradually built up with various facilities and features.

A summer theater operates within the park grounds, serving as a venue for performances and gatherings during warmer months. The theater's location and regular use show how cultural events are woven into the park's daily rhythm.

Visitors should wear appropriate footwear since the terrain is uneven with varying elevations throughout the grounds. The best time to visit depends on which activities you plan to do and current weather conditions.

A restaurant was carved directly into the natural limestone caves on the hillside, using the rock formation as walls and ceiling. This unusual dining space offers visitors a distinctive experience found in very few other parks.
