Тракийски култов комплекс при село Ангел Войвода, Thracian sanctuary near Angel Voyvoda, Bulgaria.
The sanctuary complex consists of over 50 carved ritual niches in rocks, fortification walls, and three ceremonial structures arranged in an east-west line.
The site originated in the Early Iron Age and maintained its significance through medieval times, featuring a fortress wall constructed without mortar reaching 2.2 meters thick.
The central section contains a semi-spherical depression carved into rock within a quadrangular structure, representing ancient Thracian beliefs about passage to the afterlife.
The archaeological site requires GPS coordinates 41°49′58.8″N 25°15′43.2″E for access, with an asphalt road leading to Angel Voyvoda village followed by an unpaved path.
A trapezoidal rock basin near the approach to the elevation serves as an ancient sacrificial altar, connecting to a five-step staircase carved into stone.
