Festival and Congres Centre, Varna
The Festival and Congress Centre is a venue in Varna with eleven halls of different sizes, each accommodating 50 to 1000 people. The building houses cafes, a restaurant, and outdoor terraces, all within a single structure on a busy city street.
The centre opened in 1986 as a central gathering point for the city. Since its completion, it has grown to host a diverse range of events drawing people from different areas and countries.
The centre brings together artists, musicians, and performers who share their work with audiences from different backgrounds. Theatre productions, concerts, art exhibitions, and festivals take place here regularly, shaping the cultural life of the city.
The centre sits on Slivnitsa Boulevard, a short walk from the beach and easily accessible from the city centre. Most events take place indoors in the halls, while outdoor terraces open during good weather for additional gathering space.
The centre has hosted the international film festival 'Love is Folly' since 1993, which is Bulgaria's only festival of its kind. This event showcases films from around the world and highlights the venue's role as a meeting point for international artistic work.
