Bezisten, Concert hall and museum in Yambol, Bulgaria.
The Bezisten is a renovated Ottoman-era covered market building with three levels that now serves as an exhibition and event space. The rooms hold regional heritage displays and use digital screens to present information to visitors.
The building was constructed between the 15th and 17th centuries as a covered bazaar and operated as a marketplace for centuries. In 2015, it was transformed and reopened as a cultural center.
The building displays archaeological finds, religious objects, and regional artworks, including rare icons from southeastern Bulgaria. These items show how local traditions and spiritual life shaped daily life across generations.
The venue is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers audio guides and information in multiple languages through digital displays. Visitors can walk through the spaces at their own pace and explore the touchscreen content.
The venue features an interactive floor installation with a large digital map of Yambol that responds when visitors approach it. This map also serves as a menu system for exploring neighborhood information.
