Saint-Lambert

Saint-Lambert is a residential town located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River across from downtown Montreal. The area comprises several neighborhoods with homes, parks, and local shopping streets that shape residents' everyday lives.

The settlement emerged in the 19th century and grew rapidly after 1859 when the Victoria Bridge connected it to Montreal. This rail link turned the location into an important hub for commuters and commerce.

During both World Wars, the community had an exceptionally high rate of military participation among residents, reflecting a strong connection to national service. More than 130 local soldiers were killed in combat.
