Gunilda, Luxury steam yacht wreck in Lake Superior, Canada.

The Gunilda lies at a depth of 270 feet, maintaining its complete steel structure with visible gilded details and original wooden furnishings inside.

The 195-foot yacht, constructed in 1897 by Ramage & Ferguson in Scotland, sank in 1911 after striking McGarvey Shoal near Rossport, Ontario.

The vessel represents the peak of late Victorian yacht design, featuring sophisticated engineering solutions and luxurious accommodations from that period.

Technical divers require mixed gas equipment and advanced certification to reach the wreck, with diving expeditions departing from Rossport, Ontario.

The wreck contains intact period elements including a piano, brass lanterns, and original furniture preserved by Lake Superior's cold freshwater conditions.
