Üetliberg

Üetliberg is a mountain near Zürich that rises to about 869 meters and stands noticeably above the city landscape. From the summit, you can see Zürich below, the lake stretching out, and on clear days the distant Alps.

The mountain takes its name from a medieval castle that once stood near the summit and first appeared in written records around 1210. This castle influenced the region for centuries, and its name persisted even after the structure faded.

Between this summit and Felsenegg lies the Planet Trail, a walking path that shows the solar system as a scale model and takes about two hours to complete. This route connects two mountain peaks while offering a learning experience about space for all ages.
