Uetliberg Aussichtsturm

The Uetliberg Aussichtsturm is a modern steel lattice structure rising 72 meters on Mount Uetliberg, offering views to visitors. A walkable platform at 30 meters height is accessible by climbing 178 steps.

The structure was built in 1990, replacing an older tower from 1894 that had been influenced by Eiffel Tower designs. The modernization brought a contemporary structure to this well-known mountain near Zurich.

The tower marks a place where Zurich residents enjoy spending time outdoors and viewing their city from above. People regularly use this location for hiking and to escape daily routines while being closer to nature.

You can reach the tower comfortably using the S10 train from Zurich's main station, which takes you directly to Uetliberg station. From there, the climb is well signposted and takes just a few minutes.

On clear days, you can see Lake Zurich, the city, and the Alpine peaks from the platform, while on foggy days the view often sits above a thick fog layer. This contrast between fog in the city and clear air above makes visits particularly memorable.
