Fluchthorn

Fluchthorn is an Alpine summit situated at the border between Tyrol in Austria and Graubünnden in Switzerland within the Silvretta range. The peak area features three distinct crests, with the middle summit now serving as the highest point following a major rockfall event in 2023.

The mountain long served as a boundary marker between Austrian and Swiss Alpine regions. In June 2023, permafrost thaw triggered a major rockfall on the southern face, substantially altering the peak's geography.

The mountain represented a meeting point between Austrian and Swiss Alpine traditions, marked by a religious cross at its summit until 2023.
