Sogn Gieri is a small church from the 10th century on a wooded hill above the Hinterrhein near Rhäzüns. It has a nave and choir under one saddle roof, a roughly plastered rubble-stone exterior with tuff quoins, a square tower with a pointed spire, and a covered double staircase leading to the entrance under the east gable. Inside, the walls are fully painted with Gothic frescoes.

The building dates to the Middle Ages and served as a religious center for the community for centuries. The elaborate frescoes were added in various phases and reflect artistic trends of different periods.

The two bells in the tower have unknown founders: the older one, cast around 1350, weighs about 240 kg and shows half-figures of angels; the larger one, dated 1465, weighs about 440 kg and is tuned to c\". Both carry inscriptions naming the Evangelists.
