Shunyi District

Shunyi District extends across 1,020 square kilometers of mixed urban and rural landscapes, encompassing six subdistricts and nineteen towns with varied local characteristics.

The district transformed from being part of Hebei Province before 1948 through multiple administrative changes to become an integral part of Beijing's northeastern region.

Foreign and Chinese residents share daily life in numerous gated communities, creating a multicultural environment with international schools and diverse dining establishments.

The district connects to central Beijing through Line 15 of the Beijing Subway and the Capital Airport Express, while also housing multiple international shopping centers.

The Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park, constructed for the 2008 Olympics, remains an active sports facility within the district's boundaries.
