Ruins of St. Paul's, Religious ruins in Santo António, Macau.

The stone façade rises 68 steps from ground level, featuring detailed stone carvings that combine European and Asian architectural elements.

The original church and college complex, constructed between 1602 and 1640, served as one of the largest Catholic structures in Asia until its destruction in 1835.

The façade incorporates both Catholic imagery and Chinese elements, including the Virgin Mary representation and six traditional Chinese guardian lions at its base.

Visitors can explore the Museum of Sacred Art located in the excavated crypt beneath the ruins, which displays religious artifacts from Macau's past.

The stone carvings include specific references merging Catholic and Chinese symbolism, such as the Madonna stepping on a dragon with Chinese inscriptions.
