Tai Po Waterfront Park

Tai Po Waterfront Park is a large green space along Tolo Harbour with gardens, rest areas, and pathways for walking and recreation. The layout includes planted gardens, shaded sitting areas, and a waterfront promenade that runs through the length of the park.

The park opened in 1994 as a recreational space for the local community. A viewing tower was added afterward to enhance the visitor experience and provide new ways to enjoy the harbor views.

The waterfront space hosts the annual Dragon Boat Race, keeping the local water sports tradition alive for the community. People gather along the promenade to walk, exercise, and spend time with family and friends throughout the year.

The park is relatively flat and easy to walk through, with plenty of seating areas along the paths for resting. Getting there is convenient by bus or a short walk from the nearby train station.

The park has a dedicated pool area for model boat enthusiasts to sail their miniature vessels. This activity draws hobbyists and families who enjoy this hands-on recreation that is rarely found in the city.
