The Diaoshuilou Waterfall stretches 40 meters wide along the Mudan River, forming a 12-meter vertical drop at the northern end of Lake Jingpo.
Throughout its existence, the waterfall has experienced changes in water flow due to the development of upstream hydroelectric facilities in the Heilongjiang Province.
Local performers entertain visitors with scheduled cliff diving demonstrations from the waterfall's edge, continuing a tradition that draws crowds twice daily.
The site remains accessible throughout the year, with peak water flow occurring during summer months and transforming into an ice formation during winter.
The waterfall creates a horseshoe-shaped wall where a natural spring continues to flow even during periods when the main cascade reduces to minimal levels.
