Liuzi Temple

Liuzi Temple stretches across 2,000 square meters with three connected halls constructed from wood and brick along Yu Stream in Hunan Province.

The temple was established in 1056 during the Northern Song Dynasty and underwent multiple reconstructions, including major renovations in 1144 and 1877.

The temple commemorates Tang Dynasty writer Liu Zongyuan through architectural elements, stone inscriptions, and regular poetry recitation events.

The monument includes parking facilities, informational plaques in multiple languages, and designated pathways that guide visitors through the historical structures.

Two guardian lion statues flank the entrance, featuring a Qing Dynasty couplet inscription by magistrate Yang Han that remains perfectly preserved.
