善豐花園, Residential building in Macau, China.
Sim Fong Garden is a residential building with 30 floors in Macau's Inner Harbor area. The structure houses 144 residential units and was rebuilt with modern electrical systems, fire safety features, and vehicle charging stations in its parking spaces.
The building was evacuated in 2012 after concrete columns were found to have only one-third of their required strength. A major reconstruction and renovation project followed, restoring the structure to modern safety standards.
The reconstruction project represents a significant example of community solidarity in Macau as residents collectively raised funds for the building's renovation.
The building is located in a residential neighborhood with convenient access to public transportation and nearby shops. Note that this is a private residential building, so visitor access may be limited.
The building pioneered the placement of transformer rooms on the first floor in the Inner Harbor district to prevent flood damage. This design solution became a model for other residential projects in the area.
