Tuanjiehu Park, Public park in Chaoyang District, Beijing, China.
Tuanjiehu Park is a 14-hectare green space in Chaoyang District centered around a circular lake. Pathways border the water's edge, passing traditional pavilions and buildings designed in the style of southern Chinese gardens.
The central lake was created in 1958 during an early expansion phase. The surrounding park facilities and landscaping were completed three decades later in 1986 as the area developed.
The park serves as a gathering place where residents spend their mornings and evenings moving slowly and stretching in groups. The open spaces and pathways create an environment where people naturally pause from their daily routines.
The park welcomes visitors from early morning through late evening throughout the year. Good walking shoes are helpful since the pathways around the lake can become muddy after rain, and some sections are unpaved.
The lake's circular shape was deliberately designed to match its name meaning - Tuanjiehu translates to Lake of Unity. In Chinese tradition, this round form symbolizes wholeness and harmony.
