Parkview Green, Mixed-use architectural complex in Fangcaodi, Beijing, China
Parkview Green is a large mixed-use complex in the Fangcaodi district with office towers, retail spaces, an art center, and hotel accommodations. The project integrates multiple functions across interconnected buildings and public areas.
The site occupies former Ming Dynasty pastureland near the East Bridge, which historically served as a critical grain transport corridor into Beijing. This location near the Chaoyang Gate made it a significant point along the city's supply routes.
The complex showcases contemporary art throughout its public areas while respecting the neighborhood's traditional roots. Visitors can encounter creative works integrated into the daily circulation spaces.
The complex is well-connected by public transit and offers ample parking for vehicles. Internal walkways are largely covered, making movement between different areas comfortable regardless of weather conditions.
The roof employs a specialized ETFE film system that creates an independent microclimate within the complex. This design feature allows interior spaces to maintain comfortable temperatures naturally without relying heavily on mechanical climate control.
