Changsha Jiandu Museum

The Changsha Jiandu Museum spans 14,100 square meters across two levels, displaying thousands of bamboo and wooden slips used for writing in ancient China.

Founded in 2002, the museum preserves over 100,000 bamboo and wooden slips excavated from Zoumalou, dating from the Warring States Period to Jin Dynasty.

The museum exhibits extensive collections of ancient Chinese administrative records, featuring taxation documents, household registers, and bureaucratic correspondence from the Kingdom of Wu.

Located at 92 Baisha Road, the museum opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM except Tuesdays, with free admission and passport requirement for entry.

The facility houses the largest collection of unearthed bamboo and wooden slips in China, spanning nearly one thousand years of documented history.
