The Bolt Tower rises 77.7 meters above Ostrava, featuring a glass and metal structure positioned on top of a former blast furnace.
Built in 2015 on the site of an industrial complex, the tower represents the transformation of Ostrava from a mining center to a modern destination.
Named after athlete Usain Bolt, who visited Ostrava for the Golden Spike athletics event, the tower's spiral design reflects its namesake's connection.
The tower contains a café and an observation deck offering views of the Dolní Vítkovice area, the city of Ostrava, and the Beskydy Mountains.
The structure combines a historical blast furnace with modern architecture, creating an observation point at 345 meters above sea level.
