Laatzen

Laatzen is an independent community in the Hanover region comprising several districts that blend residential neighborhoods, green spaces, and shopping areas throughout the territory. The layout reflects a balanced mix of homes and parks that shape how people live and move around daily.

The founding of the Laatzen Housing Association in 1927 marked a turning point in the settlement development of the region. This initiative was key to transforming the area into a modern residential community with structures that evolved naturally over time.

The Laatzen youth office organizes specialized Christmas markets dedicated to children aged six and above, featuring local traditions and educational activities.

The community offers a mixed environment with local services and shops easily reached on foot or by public transport. The different districts are well connected by clear pathways, making it easy to find your way around.

The community maintains over 900 employees across various departments, making it one of the largest municipal employers in the Hanover region.
