Hansa Park, Amusement park in Sierksdorf, Germany
Hansa Park is an entertainment complex in Sierksdorf on the Baltic coast with over 120 attractions spread across eleven themed zones. The entrance leads directly to central squares, from which paths open to different areas including a Viking realm and several maritime settings.
The site hosted the first German Legoland from 1973 to 1976 before reopening as Hansaland in 1977. A renaming occurred in 1987 when the current title was introduced and additional themed worlds were added.
The name recalls the medieval Hanseatic League, whose merchant cities once shaped the Baltic coast, and this reference appears in the Nordic design themes throughout. Several zones display Viking motifs and maritime scenes that connect the visit with references to the regional past.
A mobile application displays waiting times and current program information, which makes planning the visit easier. In good weather queues may form, so an early morning start offers more flexibility.
A new river ride through reconstructed fjord landscapes with mechanical elements and light effects is scheduled to open in 2025. The route passes through water channels where boats glide between reproduced rock formations and Nordic vegetation.
