Observation tower Großer Feldberg

The Observation Tower Großer Feldberg rises 40 meters high at the peak of the Taunus mountains and offers sweeping views across the landscape from its top platform. The structure combines reinforced concrete lower sections with a wooden upper portion that holds antennas while providing visitors with a viewing area.

The original tower was built in 1937 as a reinforced concrete structure during a period of significant construction in Germany. After being damaged during World War II, it was reconstructed around 1950 and has remained in place since then.

The tower serves as a gathering point for local visitors and hikers who come to enjoy the panoramic views from the summit. Its position at the peak makes it a recognizable landmark that defines the landscape for people living in the surrounding region.
