Villa von Diringshofen

Villa von Diringshofen is a three-story residence in Potsdam's Neu Fahrland district with views toward Lake Lehnitz. The building features a ground-floor terrace and first-floor arbor that overlook the water and surrounding landscape.

General Max von Diringshofen and his wife Margarete commissioned architect Ludwig Otte to design and build this house between 1912 and 1913. After its completion, the property served as a military hospital and later as headquarters for a US Army liaison mission before becoming a private home.

The house displays early 1900s residential culture with spacious rooms designed for social gatherings. The connection between the ballroom and music room reveals how wealthy families arranged their homes for entertaining guests.

The building contains two original rooms from the family's previous apartment that were carefully relocated and integrated into the new construction. These spaces provide a direct connection to their former home and were seamlessly incorporated into the building's layout.
