Peppermint Pavillon, Event venue and recording studio in Döhren-Wülfel, Germany
Peppermint Pavillon is an event venue and recording studio located in the Döhren-Wülfel district of Hannover, Germany. The building spans several floors and offers professional recording studios alongside event spaces and an outdoor terrace.
The building was first put up as the Belgian Pavilion for Expo 2000 in Hannover. Music producer Mousse T later bought the structure and converted it into a recording and event center.
The name nods to its origins as a pavilion, but today the place is known mainly as a working space for music producers and artists. Visitors notice how studio sessions and live events happen side by side in the same building.
The building has several levels and an outdoor area, so comfortable shoes and attention to the weather are both worth keeping in mind. Checking in advance which part of the venue is being used for a specific event will help visitors plan their visit.
The steel lattice roof from the original pavilion construction is still visible inside the building today. It is rare to find exhibition architecture from a world's fair still actively used as a working studio.
