Heilig-Geist-Kirche, Catholic church in Campe district, Stade, Germany
The Heilig-Geist-Kirche features a tent-shaped design with a seven-sided layout, representing the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Built between 1959 and 1960, the church received consecration from Hildesheim Auxiliary Bishop Heinrich Pachowiak on June 6, 1960.
The church interior includes terracotta Stations of the Cross created by Karl Zwernemann in 1968 and entrance doors depicting New Testament scenes.
The church serves 9,300 Catholics across three districts: Stade, Cuxhaven, and Rotenburg, within a total population of 175,000 residents.
The Hillebrand organ from 1987 contains 23 registers and 1,650 pipes, following North German Baroque organ construction principles.
