Hofgut Menschenhaus, Historic estate in Neunkirchen, Germany.

Hofgut Menschenhaus is a former estate south of Neunkirchen's centre, between Neunkirchen and Eschweilerhof, surrounded by forest. Johannes-Nikolaus Mensch built the first structure, the Menschenhütte, in 1754; it was later enlarged into the Menschenhaus. A country house was also built on the grounds. Since August 2014 the property has belonged to the catering firm Grunder Gourmet, which uses it as event rooms.

Johannes-Nikolaus Mensch, gamekeeper to Prince Wilhelm Heinrich of Nassau-Saarbrücken, built the Hofgut in 1754 and gave it its name. It stayed in his family until 1895, when the Schloss-Brauerei Neunkirchen took it over and ran it as a tavern; a country house was also built on the grounds. In 1974 the estate passed from the municipality of Spiesen to Neunkirchen.

The name comes from Johannes-Nikolaus Mensch, the prince's gamekeeper who built the estate in 1754. From 1895 the Schloss-Brauerei Neunkirchen ran it as a Wirtschaft, an inn. Since August 2014 the catering firm Grunder Gourmet has used the former estate for events.

The estate is now operated by a catering service and serves mainly as an event venue with multiple usable spaces. Visitors should know that accessibility and opening times depend on scheduled events, so it is wise to check ahead whether the grounds are open.
