Häverstädter Berg, Mountain summit in Minden-Lübbecke District, Germany

Häverstädter Berg is a mountain summit reaching 270 meters (886 feet) in the Wiehengebirge range, offering vistas across the surrounding landscape and nearby settlements. Multiple marked trails approach the peak from different directions, varying in steepness and route difficulty.

The mountain contains remains of a fort from the Saxon era that served as a strategic defensive position during medieval times. This fortification was part of the early defensive architecture of the region and shaped its military significance for centuries.

The hiking routes around the summit connect visitors to ancient pilgrim paths that have been walked for centuries to reach spiritual destinations. These routes shape how people experience the landscape today and show how tradition and nature intertwine here.

The paths to the summit are clearly marked from the start, and you can begin from several trailheads around the base. Dry weather is preferable for your visit since some sections become slippery when wet.

The southern slope features the Habichtswand, a notable rock formation that attracts climbers and geology enthusiasts. This rock face stands out for its distinctive structure and is a rare geological feature within this mountain region.
