Otto-Maigler-See is a recreational lake in Hürth, North Rhine-Westphalia, featuring 500 meters of sandy beach and clear water. The water sits within roughly 142 hectares of forest with diverse tree species surrounding the area.
The lake formed from a former brown coal mining pit and opened to the public in June 1977 after extensive land reclamation work. It was renamed in 1967 to honor the mining engineer whose contributions had shaped local industry.
