Walchensee-Museum, Art museum in Urfeld am Walchensee, Germany
The Walchensee Museum displays over 300 graphic works by artist Lovis Corinth in the former Hotel zur Post building near Lake Walchen.
The museum opened on July 21, 2008, marking the 150th birthday of artist Lovis Corinth, who lived in Urfeld between 1918 and 1925.
The museum exhibits copper engravings, maps, construction plans, letters, oil paintings, watercolors, and pencil sketches from regional artists and collections.
Adult admission costs 6 euros, youth tickets from age 12 cost 3 euros, and the museum offers group tours outside regular opening hours.
The museum contains the complete previously unknown painted collection of Charlotte von Maltzahn from 1881 to 1975, acquired in 2017.
